Inside Edge

Inside Edge (not available on the Internet, now defunct) was Compaq Direct's Intranet site.  The successor to Inacom's intranet, GRIN, Inside Edge was developed when Compaq acquired part of Inacom and formed Compaq Direct.  My team did all the development of applications and maintanance of the site, while Content Managers were responsible for the content of individual sites for each business unit.

During the initial design of Inside Edge, I was instrumental to the planning and designing of the site's look and flow.  My development highlights include the Events Calendar, Classified Ads, Inside Edge Site Search and a Microsoft Site Server-based content publishing tool with a web interface.  I was also responsible for the management of numerous other projects that included myself and other developmers from my team.  Other responsibilities included: Managing and assisting the Content Managers, maintaining servers (with the Server Operations group), determining new technologies and techniques to use, assisting my manager as necessary, and supervising other developers in my group.
