Brian's portfolioThe Peter Kiewit InstituteThe Peter Kiewit Institue is the result of a cooperation between the University of Nebraska-Omaha's IS&T college, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln's Engineering college and several Omaha area businesses. It was created to fulfill a need for a premiere technology school that was closely involved with real businesses. The Institute's website (http://www.pki.nebraska.edu - no longer my design) was originally designed and built by myself with the assistance of a friend of mine. We had just enrolled in the newly formed Institute and the Executive Director wanted the site to be designed by actual students of the school, so we were hired as fledgling web developers. I was responsible for most of design and implementation of the site. Most of my work went into finding content and placing it appropriately, and designing the introduction page with Macromedia's Flash. The Flash intro page for the Peter Kiewit Institute: |
